Book a Presentation with Ember!

A Powerful (and Overlooked!) Prescription for Healthy Aging

Would your club, conference or senior community like to learn more about this timely issue? Former Minnesota State Senator and long-time amateur dancer Ember Reichgott Junge, now 73, is a nationally recognized advocate for healthy aging through movement and community. She's on a mission to spread the word in Minnesota and beyond, including a special focus for seniors and health providers.

Her book, The Dance of Resilience: Transforming Lives and Staying Vibrant Through Partner Dance released in January (distributed by Simon & Schuster) explores through research and personal stories (including her own) how partner dance strengthens the body, stimulates the mind, helps prevent dementia, and provides social connection. Neuroscience shows that partner dance can reduce dementia risk by 76% and can help people living with Parkinson's improve mobility and balance.

Ember’s entertaining PowerPoint raises awareness of the many health benefits of dance and her call to action to bring it into the healthcare system covered by insurance. She invites the audience to rethink healthy aging. She inspires them to discover how movement and human connection can become powerful tools for self-discovery and lifelong resilience. More information is linked here.

There is no charge for the presentation; just the opportunity to sign books for purchase for those interested. Ember is currently booking for fall and winter. Interested? Contact Alicia Keyes at alicia.keyes2003@yahoo.com or 651-246-6682.

Her presentation style is confident and engaging. Her ability to intersect a few elegant ballroom movements with her poised professorial posture enhanced her credibility as a keen participant in this genre and was entertaining as well.
